Kitchen & Bathroom Fitting in Milton Keynes & Buckinghamshire

A kitchen or bathroom project is one of the most disruptive things you can do to a home. It’s also one of the most rewarding when it’s done well. The difference usually comes down to how thoroughly it was planned and how experienced the team carrying it out actually is.

Most problems on these projects happen at the joins. The point where the plumber hands over to the electrician, where the tiler works around unfinished joinery, or where the fitter discovers the walls aren’t square and nobody planned for it. When one team manages the whole process, those problems get solved before they become your problem.

We handle kitchen and bathroom projects from the initial survey through to the final finish. One point of contact, one programme, and a team that has done this enough times to know where things go wrong.

From First Survey to Final Finish

Every stage managed by one team, in a logical sequence that minimises disruption.

Survey and Brief

We survey the space properly before any design work begins. Wall angles, plumbing positions, electrical capacity, and structural considerations that might affect the layout. This is the stage most problems are avoided, and the stage most contractors rush.

Layout Design

We work through layout options before anything is ordered. For kitchens this means workflow, storage, and natural light. For bathrooms it means access, ventilation, and whether the existing plumbing layout makes sense to work with or redesign around.

Plumbing and Electrics

Both are handled by our team in the right sequence so nothing needs undoing later. All electrical work is carried out by a qualified electrician and certified on completion under Part P of the building regulations.

Structural Work

Where the project involves removing a wall or reconfiguring the layout, we manage it as part of the same programme. No separate contractor, no gap in accountability. Learn more about our our renovation and structural work

Tiling

Tiling layout, grout selection, and how cuts fall around fixtures and changes in plane affect the final result more than most people expect. We take the same care on every surface, not just the ones that are immediately visible.

Finishing

Snagging, appliance commissioning, and final adjustments are all done before we consider the job complete. We walk through the finished space with you and deal with anything that isn’t right before we leave.

Making the Most of the Space

A well-designed kitchen or bathroom does more than look good. It works better too.

Storage

We think about storage from the layout stage, not as an afterthought. In kitchens, this means considering drawer depths, corner solutions, tall storage positioning, and how the layout affects where you naturally put things.

In bathrooms, it means building in storage that doesn’t compromise the feel of the room or create surfaces that are difficult to keep clean.

Lighting

Lighting in kitchens and bathrooms is functional as well as aesthetic. Task lighting at worktop level, accent lighting to add depth, and ambient lighting that makes the room feel considered rather than clinical.

We plan lighting positions at the first fix stage so the result is deliberate, not retrofitted.

Layout Flow

A kitchen that looks beautiful in a showroom can feel cramped and awkward to cook in.

We design around how the space will actually be used, including door swing clearances, appliance access, and circulation space when more than one person is in the room.

How We Manage the Project

You’ll have one point of contact from the survey stage to the final walkthrough. The same person who helped you plan the layout will be managing the programme on site. You won’t find yourself relaying messages between a designer, a plumber, and a fitter who have never spoken to each other.

We programme kitchen and bathroom projects in a logical sequence that minimises the time the room is out of use. Where you are living in the property throughout, we work to keep at least one bathroom operational at all times where the project allows, and we’ll be clear at the outset if that isn’t possible.

Progress updates are provided throughout. If something comes up on site that affects the programme or the cost, you’ll hear about it from us before it becomes a problem.

Materials and Finishes

Cabinetry

We work with a range of suppliers from mid-market to premium, and we’ll be straightforward about where the quality differences actually matter and where they don’t. Carcass quality, hinge specification, and drawer runner quality affect how a kitchen feels to use every day. Door finish is a matter of preference.

Worktops

Quartz, granite, solid timber, laminate, and porcelain all have different properties, different maintenance requirements, and different price points. We’ll explain the practical differences so you choose a surface that suits how you actually use your kitchen.

Flooring

Flooring decisions affect the whole room and need to be made before tiling begins. For kitchens, we consider durability, maintenance, and how the floor connects to adjoining rooms. For bathrooms, slip resistance and water resistance are the practical priorities alongside aesthetics.

Sanitaryware & Fixtures

We work with reputable suppliers and can advise on specifications that represent genuine value rather than just headline price. Where you have specific products in mind, we’ll work with those. Where you want guidance, we’ll give you honest recommendations.

Kitchen & Bathroom FAQs

How long does a kitchen refit take?2026-03-24T13:31:25+00:00

A straightforward kitchen refit without structural work typically runs two to three weeks. A project involving wall removal, replastering, or significant plumbing and electrical alterations runs four to six weeks. We’ll give you a project-specific programme before work starts so you can plan around it.

Can you supply the units or do you fit only?2026-03-24T13:31:08+00:00

Both. We can supply and fit a full kitchen including cabinetry, worktops, appliances, and sanitaryware, or we can fit units you have sourced yourself. If you’re supplying your own units, we’ll want to review the specification before confirming the programme to make sure everything is compatible with the installation.

Do you supply and fit kitchens? We can provide full kitchen supply and installation, or fit units you’ve sourced yourself.

Do you handle the plumbing and electrics?2026-03-24T13:31:49+00:00

Yes. Both are carried out by our team and certified on completion. You don’t need to source separate trades. All electrical work is notified and certified under Part P of the building regulations.

Do I need planning permission for a kitchen or bathroom?2026-03-24T13:32:21+00:00

Not for internal works in most cases. If the project involves structural changes that affect the external appearance of the property, or if your property is listed, additional consent may be required. We’ll advise you on this at the survey stage.

What if you find something unexpected behind the walls?2026-03-24T13:34:39+00:00

It happens, particularly in older properties. Outdated pipework, inadequate electrical wiring, or damp that wasn’t visible before work started. When we find something, we stop, show you what we’ve found, give you a clear cost to address it, and agree how to proceed before continuing.

Can you work on a bathroom in a listed building or period property?2026-03-24T13:35:03+00:00

Yes. Period properties require more care around materials, fixings, and how services are routed. Where listed building consent is required for any element of the work, we’ll advise you before work starts.
